Our Associations, Partnerships, & Community
At Integral Dental, Pearl Family Dental and Ellice Dental Group, our dentists and staff are dedicated to giving back to the Winnipeg community, resulting in a positive impact on the lives of our patients through dentistry worldwide. We treat our patients and the local community in Winnipeg like our family.
Dental Associations and Partnerships
Dr. Colina and our dental team have collaborated with organizations to provide humanitarian dental services in Peru, the Philippines, and Guatemala. He was also a part of the dental mission team that travelled with Village of Hope to Harare, Zimbabwe in 2017.
Dr. Yue and our dental team were involved in a dental mission to the Philippines in 2014. The mission was held in Caloocan, Quezon City and Ormoc, Leyte, a year after the island of Leyte was devastated by a super typhoon.
Dr. Luong participated in a dental mission to Vietnam while in dental school.
We also want to thank and draw attention to the partner organizations for allowing us to pursue one of our core values: “We will support worthwhile causes”. We extend our thanks to the dedicated and motivated mission team members from Winnipeg and Western Canada who have worked to improve the health of every individual treated during our dental mission experiences.
Kindness in Action’s mission statement is to provide dental health services, providing as much as they can with what they have. Their goal is to educate and create an awareness of issues in the developing world. They are also dedicated to honouring, supporting, and empowering those with less, and assisting them in becoming self-sufficient.
Hope for Peru is an organization committed to improving the lives of poor children by providing tangible benefits and services that cater to their basic needs. This helps in increasing their self-esteem and enhancing their physical and educational levels.
ANCOP is an acronym for “Answering the Cry of the Poor”. This is a non-profit organization founded to uplift the lives of poor families in developing countries by providing shelter, child education, and humanitarian relief. ANCOP currently operates in the Philippines, India, Indonesia, and several countries in Africa, including Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Uganda.
Couples for Christ is a worldwide ministry with the goal of becoming a major force for the renewal of Christian family life and the church. It is present in 100 countries with over 10,000 members.
The mission of Villages of Hope is to bring lasting hope to vulnerable children and orphans in the Africa region. This organization provides holistic, loving care to children while caring for their spiritual, social, physical, and intellectual needs. Currently, it has 5 villages located in 10 countries within Africa that are committed to providing vital care to underserved children.
St. Andrew’s is a place of worship, hospitality, compassion, education, and mission for everyone. The church focuses on providing a caring, nurturing environment for anyone seeking to continue his or her spiritual journey.
Dedicated to the Winnipeg Community
At Integral Dental, Pearl Dental and Ellice Dental, we believe that each individual deserves access to dental care. We take pride in being a part of the Winnipeg community, working to collaborate with Sulong Triathlon Group, ANCOP (Answering the Cry of the Poor), and other Filipino community organizations in the Winnipeg area.
Our dental offices are proud to be a corporate sponsor of Sulong Triathlon Group committed to helping community members develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle and well-being. The group aspires to become a significant influence in improving the lives of the people within the Winnipeg community.
Our dental offices in Winnipeg partner with ANCOP to help fund low-cost housing for families in the Philippines as well as providing financial support for children’s education in the Philippines, Ecuador, Peru, and Kenya. The organization also helps in providing facilities such as multipurpose halls and education centres in these countries. We have been a part of their fundraising efforts since 2007, and collaborated with ANCOP in dental humanitarian missions in 2007 and 2014.
Philippines Dental Missions Trip
In 2014, the members of Pearl Family Dental, Ellice Dental Group, and volunteers from around Canada travelled to the Philippines for a dental mission trip. We collaborated with ANCOP and KIA (Kindness in Action) to make a difference in the lives of underserved people of the Philippines.
Our volunteers also worked in the Ampara Village in Calloocan and also in Ormoc, located on the Leyte Island in the Visayas. The village in Caloocan had high dental care needs, and the village in Ormoc was ravaged by the super typhoon Haiyan in 2013, causing massive destruction, fatalities, and leaving many survivors in need of dental and medical care.
